Our Australian story started in Carindale. In 2003 De Beer Biltong opened in a butcher shop in Carindale shopping centre. It was the first place Brisbane locals tasted Jan De Beer’s 1970 recipe from Brits, South Africa. Plenty of eastern-suburbs families have been buying our biltong ever since, and many of them followed us online.
Today the biltong comes from our Rocklea factory and is delivered to your door in Carindale, Camp Hill, Belmont and the rest of Brisbane’s east. Fresh boerewors arrives chilled. Dry products like whole biltong and droëwors can sit in the pantry until the weekend. It’s the same recipe you remember from the shop, made by the same family.
