Made in Rocklea by a South African family
The De Beer recipe was perfected in Brits, South Africa in 1970 by Jan De Beer. The family brought it to Brisbane in 2003, starting in a butcher shop in Carindale, then a factory in Capalaba. Today everything is made in our factory at 7 Shoebury Street, Rocklea. Read our story.

Planning a braai?
Allow about 150–200 g of boerewors per person (more if it’s the main event). Add a whole biltong for snacking while the coals get going, and read our guide to cooking boerewors. For a big event, office function or club fundraiser, get in touch and we’ll help you work out quantities.
